BioI'm a SPED History teacher at a RTC (residential treatment center). I'm currently working towards my Masters in Education, where then I aim to get my phD in History.
My journal is a synopsis of my everyday life (chaotic, crazy, rewarding, hilarious...) and my life. I'm random, I don't make sense, I talk about things that are controversial. I don't always have time to comment (because of said job) but I read journals and care.
Some things about me:
-Two of my most serious relationships have been with Marines. One's currently in Iraq after being re-activated, and the other is out.
-I've been told that I have an extremely open mind; and I'm always willing to listen to new ideas. I check my facts; do my research before I make an educated opinion. Things like the Iraq War (or the situation in the Middle East as a whole). I'm not going to flat out say what my views are on; because the situation (s) itself are so complex. There is no black and white.
-I read faster then most (450 pages in about 5 hrs) & could get lost on purpose in a bookstore.
-I LOVE kids. They're attracted to me, strangely enough. . . I think because I can play with them and have a omplete ball.
-I run, and will be running Boston's Half Marathon for the second year!!
My political views do not get in the way of making friends.
- I recently got a macbook, and don't know how anyone can work with a PC. Clicking and dragging is so much easier then the jumps and hoops of cutting and pasting.
I have since changed a lot since creating this journal, but one thing will always be certain: I will respect and listen to your views, if you can do the same to mine. I love new ideas.
I've been to the following countries: Ireland(lived there), Northern Ireland, England, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Canada. I plan on visiting every continent before I die. ALong with with visiting all 50 states (so far I've been to 22).
"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity. "
